ShieldMePM provides lawn care and property maintenance for homes and properties throughout Mogul, the semi-rural census-designated community six miles west of Reno along the I-80 corridor at the base of Peavine Peak. Mogul sits at roughly 4,500 to 4,700 feet — noticeably higher than central Reno — with much of the community straddling the Truckee River corridor and the lower flanks of Peavine Mountain. Streets like Mogul Drive, Fourth Street, and the quiet lanes of Mogul Highlands and Belli Ranch Estates run through a mix of ranch-style homes, two-story hillside properties, and horse-zoned lots that can stretch from half an acre to over two acres.

Lots commonly run half an acre to two-plus acres, with a mix of irrigated turf, native shrub borders, and equestrian areas. Elevations here are 200 to 300 feet higher than downtown Reno, which means spring green-up comes a week or two later and the first hard freeze arrives earlier in fall — the irrigation winterization window is tight. Wind is a real factor in the I-80 canyon: gusts of 40 to 55 mph are common in winter and can carry blowing snow onto driveways and walks faster than anything downvalley. Soil in Mogul tends toward clay and caliche in the lower benches, which drains poorly and compacts under mower traffic; properties on the upper hillside lots often have rockier, faster-draining ground.
