Service area
ShieldMePM provides lawn care and property maintenance throughout D'Andrea, one of east Sparks' largest master-planned communities. D'Andrea sits roughly two miles north of I-80 along Vista Boulevard, spreading across a mix of tract homes, patio homes, and custom golf-course-view properties built mostly from 2000 onward. Elevations inside the community range from around 4,400 feet near the entry off Vista Boulevard up to over 5,100 feet on the hillside sections above the D'Andrea Golf Club, which means the upper streets see more wind exposure and slightly heavier snow loads than the valley floor neighborhoods nearby.
The community covers more than 2,000 units across distinct pockets — including the Siena sub-association west of San Marino Drive, the gated 55-plus Toscana section south of Geno Martini Parkway, and standard single-family streets along North D'Andrea Parkway and around Antelope Ridge Park, Pagni Ranch Park, and Vista View Park. Lot sizes vary from compact patio-home lots under 0.1 acres to half-acre-plus parcels on the golf course perimeter. We maintain them all on the same straightforward flat-rate model: one monthly charge, no per-visit surprises.
Local know-how
D'Andrea is heavily HOA-governed. The D'Andrea Community Association (DCA) covers roughly 1,200 homes in the lower sections, and the Toscana sub-association adds its own rules for the gated 55-plus area. Monthly HOA fees in D'Andrea and neighboring gated sections run $150 to $280, and CC&Rs typically specify turf height limits, weed-free curb strips, and seasonal appearance standards — violations come with fines. At elevations above 4,800 feet on the hillside lots, Washoe Valley gap winds accelerate and desiccate turf faster than residents expect; drip emitters and rotors need fall check-up and a proper winterization shutdown before the first hard freeze. Soil in the D'Andrea footprint is the same clay-caliche mix common across east Sparks, which compacts easily and drains poorly unless aerated regularly. All outdoor irrigation is subject to TMWA's assigned-day schedule (even/odd addresses, three days per week, no midday watering between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.) — we program and adjust controllers to stay compliant.
